Glen Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket

This week David chats with one of his favorite artists, Glen Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket, about his stellar career with Toad, finding success at such a young age, turning down the $1 million dollar signing bonus, the "Monty Python" origin of the band name, the creation of the bands core discography from Bread and Circus, Pale, Fear, Dulcinea, Coil, a deep-dive into the well of spiritual and religious imagery in Glen's body of work and where it all springs from, then to finish off with a discussion about the band's breakup, reunion, and what Glen's been up to in the meantime with his wonderful solo career. TTWS's new album "Starting Now", and Glen's upcoming record to be released in the fall.
